The temples in and around Jaipur

History says the Birla temple was built on land given to the Birla family by the Maharaja, for merely a token sum of one rupee. You can explore the temple, the museum beside it, the beautiful gardens surrounding it and the adjacent shopping area.

Roam around Nakki Lake after a visit to the temple for a pleasant evening away from the chaotic wonder of Jaipur. Located close to the city of Jaipur is the Abhaneri Step Well. A water reservoir dating back to 9th century AD. You can climb down a few steps into the water reservoir and marvel at the architecture of the establishment. There is a small temple nearby.
