There is no shortage of sights and scenes to visit in and around Jaipur. The Birla Temple also referred to as Lakshmi Narayan Temple is one such landmark. The temple was constructed by Shri Rang Ramanuj Das. Folklore says in 1904, Lord Laxminarayan came into the dream of Shri Rang Ramanuj Das. Lord Laxminarayan told Ramanuj Das asked Ramanuj Das to bring him back to earth and thus a temple was erected in his memory. Carved out of white marble the temples boasts of idols of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. The walls are engraved with quotes from the holy books. But it is not merely a Hindu temple but the walls possess images of other as Socrates, Zarathustra, and Buddha. You can visit the Moti Dungri Fort at the same time for the temple is situated below it. History says the Birla temple was built on land given to the Birla family by the Maharaja, for merely a token sum of one rupee. You can explore the temple, the museum beside it, the beautiful gardens surrounding it and the adjacent shopping area.

There are many temples even on Mount Abu and Raghu Nathji Temple is one them. There are many stories surrounding the temple which adds to its charm. The temple is located near the Nakki Lake. Some say the temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu for according to legends he reappeared as Raghunathji. Others say it was Sri Ramanand who brought the statue of Raghunathji into the temple, in the 14th Century AD. The deity is said to possess special powers and can rid one of all pains. Roam around Nakki Lake after a visit to the temple for a pleasant evening away from the chaotic wonder of Jaipur. Located close to the city of Jaipur is the Abhaneri Step Well. A water reservoir dating back to 9th century AD. You can climb down a few steps into the water reservoir and marvel at the architecture of the establishment. There is a small temple nearby.
