It was developed in the grid-style with gardens, courtyards and buildings with various structures as the ‘Chandra Mahal’, ‘Mubarak Mahal’, ‘Diwan-I-Khas’ and the ‘Govind Dev Ji Temple. The Chandra Mahal palace now converted into a museum is the most beautiful part of the palace and is still a royal residence. The different palace buildings were built in different times, but there is a natural symmetry to it. There are many entrances to the palace, but some of the significant gates are the ‘Udai Pol’, ‘Jalebi Chowk’, ‘Tripolia Gate’ and ‘Virendra Pol’.
